he E30 3 series became an icon almost overnight. The car was a must for the person that craved a great rear wheel drive experience, with build quality, compactness and yet still retained that very grown up feel. The 325 was well into production as the ultimate E30 and already packed a mighty punch in BMW sales figures and performance figures, with 169 bhp and 225 Nm of torque the 325 was already a super sporty drive. Although the E30 M3 was the ultimate track E30 of the period, BMW realised that many of their loyal customers did not want the rawness of the M3 and wanted to retain a little more usability, right hand drive, and that already legendary, smooth straight 6 engine. The 325i Sport was born.

Having passed through our workshop for our normal thorough inspection and report, the following work will be carried out prior to handing her over to the new owner.
Carry out oil and safety service.
Change coolant.
Change brake fluid.
Replace cambelt and pulley.
Rectify engine oil leaks by replacing cam cover gasket,
D blocks and distributor oil seal.
Service lights faulty. Replace printed circuit board.
Rectify faulty n/s/f electric window
Rectify faulty boot light
Replace missing battery tray clips
Replace cracked o/s/f fog light
Clean and adjust blocked o/s/f washer jet
Rectify faulty dash lights by replacing headlight switch
Sympathetically wax underside of car with a clear wax as preventive maintenance
Road test and MOT
This example is the second and final generation of the Sport offered to customers. The early style cars named M-Tech 1 and this style named M-Tech 2. BMW took a standard 325i, 2 door coupe, added a limited slip differential, a closer ratio manual gearbox, 15” wheels with 205/55/15 tyres, lower and stiffer M-Technic suspension, sports front seats, sports steering wheel, sports gear knob, anthracite headlining, and a full exterior M-Technic kit including front and rear spoilers, sill and door mouldings and rear boot spoiler.
Finding any decent E30 from 316 to M3 is now very hard work. Most E30s like all cars went through that period of time when the values attracted either owners who simply did not look after them or owners who wanted to heavily modify these cars for fast road and track work. This mixed with the brilliant build quality meant that they just got driven and driven and the miles kept on climbing. When our workshop is presented with cars of this quality for inspection they cause quite a stir. Not just only 43,000 miles, full service history from new, un-welded, all original panels, stunning cosmetically and with a history file that has every invoice from new including the original sales invoice. You would seriously struggle to find a purer example than this.
It would be extremely hard to find a 325i Sport that still retains this level of originality. The car is 100% correct and has survived without falling in to wrong hands that so often molested these cars. The original Blaupunkt Melbourne radio cassette is installed, original over mats, BMW service wallet with all manuals, service book fully stamped, spare keys, an excellent document file which still retains the sales invoice for the car when brand new.
