Readers Drives - Nadim from Australia

This story arrived in my inbox this morning and it made me smile. All of you that know me, understand just how much I love my work. Its not just about the cars though. Its also about the people. We all share a common interest but come from all over the world and different walks of life. That is what makes it so interesting and has made me some truly great friends. Hi my name is Nadim and my insta account is @euroklassica. I’d like to share a brief story regarding my E30 M3. I reside in Australia and the M3 I purchased 4 years ago is a 1987 Spanish delivered car. Shortly after purchasing I inspected some of the documentation where I found some names of previous owners. I Facebook searched th

This quieter time is a great opportunity to journey down memory lane. I have had a great couple of days trawling through 30 years of photographs. I am truly blessed to have spent the last 30 years around some of the world’s most beautiful automotive engineering and having driven some of the worlds rarest road and race cars. Its been a very full 30 years and what is amazing, is how much I had forgotten. Over the last few days I have a load of lovely emails thanking me for putting fingers to keypad and updating you guys with some of the things we have been up to. Having only achieved an F in my English GCSE, this has put me under rather a lot of pressure to write this much material. So, a

Dare to cross the line

Whilst sitting at home and deciding it was well and truly time to sort through the piles of our now redundant DVDs, I stumbled across this. It took 15 minutes to dig out a Play Station so we could actually watch it. I think the year is 2003 and I think it is my first race win. The circuit is Lydden Hill in Kent and the events were run by The Tunbridge Wells Motor Club in conjunction with South East Motor Sports Enthusiast Club. It bought back some fantastic memories. My bother, a small group of friends and I all started motor racing here. The club and fellow competitors were the most welcoming and friendly bunch I have ever raced with. It was possible to do three races in one day for £350.

Jay Kay rallies around....

I first met Jay Kay in 1991 when he visited and purchased from my Dad and I a 2002 Turbo and Genuine 3.0 CSL Batmobile. That 29 year relationship has always proved exciting and we have sold and helped with many of Munich’s finest that have been in the Jamiroquai collection. 3.3 Lia, M635, CSL to name but a few. Jay Kay contacted me and asked if this E30 M3 would be suitable for competing in the Rally Clasico Mallorca. With a small amount of work, I explained that it would be a great weapon for such and event. It was a great opportunity for Classic Heroes to be involved in such a project and for one of my oldest customers. This particular M3 was prepared with a modified 2.5 litre, 265 BHP eng

Following a staff meeting this morning and after great deliberation, it has been decided that it is only right that we close our business as of 5:30pm today. The Government have made it very clear that it is only essential business that is to continue trying to operate as normal as possible during these difficult times. Classic Heroes is not classed as an essential business, we are at the leisure end of the motor industry. The cars we specialise in are second cars and our toys. Our moral compass is pointing in the direction of total support of the Government and our NHS and for that reason we have chosen to close. Whilst on lock down, all enquiries can be emailed to
