Full History

orsche’s 911 model was first revealed to the public in September 1963 when it was launched at the Frankfurt International Motor Show with its original name the 901, now better known as the legendary 911. The original 911 had an air-cooled flat-six engine instead of the four-cylinder boxer engine of the 356. It produced 130PS, accelerated from 0-62mph in 9.1 seconds and had a top speed of 130mph.

The 911 brand has continued to go from strength to strength. A 991 is without a doubt the final model to still retain the driving characteristics of a true 911. Still retaining an element of old school, analogue feel behind the wheel, whilst benefitting from modern creature comforts.

The 911 Carrera T is unquestionably a future classic and arguably the last Porsche appealing to the 911 purist. With focus on weight reduction, simplicity, the last of the elegant narrow body cars and two-wheel drive, this is the 911 for the enthusiast wanting classic style and feel with turn key usability.

It was a back-to-basics project for Porsche aimed at drivers with some very cool retro touches. 365 BHP and 450 NM of torque, make the Carrera T the ideal 911 for our UK roads. The suspension is surprisingly compliant giving high levels of grip especially in the wet.  Featuring Sport Chrono Pack Plus for individual tuning, sports exhaust, 7 speed close ratio manual gearbox, shorter gear-lever and a 40% limited-slip differential, one is able to convince oneself is driving something considerably older and historic. Weight was reduced with the use of GT2 lightweight rear and side glass, some sound deadening removed and those lovely lightweight seats.  The exterior benefitted from grey 20” Carrera S wheels with matching mirrors, deeper front splitter and the classic side decals. The T Interior Package gave additional classic touches with colour coded stitching, seatbelts and the GT3 inspired doorhandle pulls, alongside those superb sports seats make the cabin a very exciting place to sit.

The Carrera T is without a doubt a Porsche for the purist with a long-term view on collectability
