Following the purchase of two stunning E30 M3s from us, our customer then let on that this “hooligans delight” was also sitting in his garage at home.
He had already had some fun with the car since its purchase, but knew she had some problems.
He decided to book her in for one of our health checks and report. Working with the owner, a programme of work was drawn up. This was to rectify problems known by the customer and areas highlighted in our report. Although the car was already much modified with a breathed on 2.5 litre engine running a carbon air box, sports suspension and uprated brakes, it was decided that it was also time to take her to a new level mechanically, cosmetically and with some added safety.
Once the servicing and obvious mechanical faults were rectified we then focused on some bodywork preventive maintenance. The shell is now rust free and Waxoyled. We then carried out the installation of a 6 point roll cage with roll cage padding, two Recaro Pole Position seats, Schroth 5 point 3” harnesses, Momo steering wheel with removable hub, Motorsport footrest and White BBS 17” wheels. Then to finish her off, new badges and Warsteiner/Motorsport livery.
The car was to be completed for the beginning of September and made ready for her first European road trip. The trip was booked with Petrol Head Tours and the car was prepared.
The chosen tour would take in the Alps and Pyrenees for a week. She would be taking in some of Europe’s finest driving roads and mountain passes mixed with breath taking views, great food, lovely company and relaxing hotels. For seven days the car ran like a dream leaving the owner with only the driving to worry about.
