lthough it was going to be a hard act to follow, the 550 Maranello was in need of a facelift. The introduction of the 575 M Maranello in 2002 was a highly revised and modified 550 - the M standing for “Modificata”. The quad cam, 4 valve per cylinder, V12 was taken to 5758 cc, producing 515 HP with 588 Nm of torque. Weighing 1,690 KG, light by modern standards, this meant in excess of 200 MPH top speed and 0 – 60 MPH in less than 4.2 seconds.  These staggering performance figures enabled this car to hold the title of fastest front engine car in the world.

A

The 575 M was offered in both manual and the Graziano Transmissioni F1 6 speed, paddle change gearbox.  This Pininfarina designed beauty saw further additional revisions above and beyond the increased engine capacity in the form of drilled brake discs, adaptive suspension, highly revised interior and instruments, revised front bonnet and underside aero, and Xenon headlights.

Just 2,064 575 M Maranello’s were produced with only 251 of those cars being right hand drive. The 575 M has to be the ultimate GT car of the Noughties.

This 2005 575 M is one owner from new with only 23,000 miles and in 100% original condition. Habitant of a small collection of cars and stowed inside dehumidified storage its entire life. Absolutely immaculate throughout having been the owner’s pride and joy.
